Default 2bar map sensor install and ?'sss

well I somehow found a way to get the sensor changed w/out taking the manifold off, quite simple now that I know how, though my wrists hurt like heck, haha... well I changed the map sensor but havent loaded the 2bar hptuners file yet, still stock, I'm wondering if just that sensor will screw w/things if I dont have time to load the new program before tomorrow..?..

Can you disclose that method of getting the sensor out?

Sounds like a strong, flexible wrist is required.

you need to at least rescale your map sensor so you have the same kpa reading at key on engine off as you had before with the 1 bar, or the map will read really low.

dont run a 2 bar map on stock OS. If you are running a 2 bar map and it works fine on a stock OS that means you dont have a 2 bar map sensor. The fueling will be all weird since the MAP wont be read correctly.

wtf, this thread is old, now I'm getting replies, weird.... yeah so just changing the sensor messes things up, I was able to change the map w/out taking the manifold off, thank you y-body... I've had my 2bar sd tune going for a while now, its the best for tuning boosted engines.. check hptuners for more info, just cost extra $$ you didnt expect/want to spend but thats how everything goes right..

all i did was just put it in...im using the cobalt 2bar sensor.

here is what my scanner logs look like with it

http://flowerstechnology.net/Documents/1st.xls

the reason i didnt convert to the 2bar is because after i only put in the MAP just like the help file says...my ltrims change from slightly positive at idle to like -10.9 at idle...the car leaves black soot on the ground and runs like crap. this is leaving my PE vs RPM the same and having the PE vs BOOST at 1.00

i wont do the 2bar tune until i get my fuel pressure taken care of and my tuner has time. so im using his last tune with the sensor...no problems

also...does every1 else MAP settings underboost fluctuate like mine do?..u can see it peak...go down a little..back up or does every1 elses go to peak and hold that number??
