3.8 should be good for low 15s high 14s. Depends on hook and altitude. How much spray? hhahahha, as much as you dare. Even stock neons can run 150 shots if they have a suplimental fuel system. Just a question of how long it'll take it.

Not very good, low 15's is the best ive heard. Maybe the occasional freak fora high 14
the 3800's are quick motors though, but when it comes right down to it, I wouldnt say they are trackable in stock form.
Get a Supercharger off a Wrecked GTP from a junkyard or ebay, and have the boost turned up some @ a local speed shop.
That should put some fire in the stove

Some dude on here has a turbocharged 3800. It's a decent enough block, but you gotta throw more money at it then the V8 to get the good times. Stock it'll run mid 15's, depending on whether it's an automatic or manual. A torque converter for the automatics will make a huge difference.
My advise is to get the V8. I mean with just a torque converter you'll most likely see 12's. Minor upgrades will get you into the 11's. That is just my advise though.

All depends on how fast you want to go. I am friends with two of the fast 3.8 guys, one uses nitrous (best of 12.1), the other N/A (best of 13.5). Both of these cars have some pretty serious weight reduction, along with tuning, gears (4.10s), and a full race suspension.

I had a '95 Camaro and it ran a 16.8 in really hot weather when the car was really hot. So I think it would have ran a little bit faster. It would run 17 flat with 2 of us in the car.

You can spray the V6 pretty hard. Make sure it has good gas (100 unleaded) and a fresh set of NGK TR-6's. Also, check the door or the glove box for the RPO codes. All the faster cars came stock with the GU6 3.42 rear axle.

Well I think Bird of Prey went like a 14.7 with just a filter. Magnus went low 14's stock internals with a converter and some other stuff. He went 13.6 with heads and a small cam. I forget his nitrous time.

Yeah, They're awesome motors.
Last time I drove my old 00' 3.8 M5 at the track, I only ran once and caught a 15.6 at 90 I think. B%B, k&n, slp cai, wires, my own pvc bellows and a hurst shifter. Awesome car. not bad for a lightly modified 3.8.

I had a 98 V6 5spd...Went best of 14.7@93 with just free mods.
I was driving the **** out of that car to run those times though, not powershifting I would normally run 15.1-2.
