Need help with VE tuning
I have an 05 A4 GTO. Hptuners.
I took the stock bin file and set the maf fail freq from 13500 to 0. Then in the VCM controls I set P0101-P0103 to no SES light and 0 mil on first error. Uploaded the tune and unplugged the maf. I also turned off COT and DFCO.
The car slams into gear now. Every gear change seems like its at full line pressure. I tried plugging the maf back in and that did nothing. Any ideas?

Try plugging the MAF back in and see if it still gives you grief. Leave the PO101-103 enabled so you can make sure the MAF is off and you're in SD, but plug the MAF back in. No guarantee's that that will fix your problem, but it might.

Then I would recommend putting the trans in 3rd gear and doing as much of your VE table as you can without shifting around. You may need to upload an enhanced SD bin, if available for LS2's, in order to get the trans pressure's back in line.

What version of HP Tuners are you using? I know there was this problem with earlier ls1 cars (98,99,00) commanding full line pressure under MAF failure, although I've never seen it on a car as new as yours. The only fix used to be emailing your .bin file to HP Tuners and have them correct something in the code for this (this is what I had to do anyway). I was under the impression that the newest version of HP Tuners is supposed to have fixed this issue though.

I am using 2.1.10.0, the latest. I have emailed Chris, emailed support, posted on Friday on their board and no response. I feel like I'm the only one tuning an LS2 GTO. I know my VE table is off and I want to get it fixed before VMP.
