What rims and tires for my Dads chevelle?

What rims and tires for my Dads chevelle? My dad just picked up a 71 chevelle SS. It is yellow with black stripes. The car is really sharp, but the stock wheels are quite the eye soar. He is letting me have some say in what wheels he should get for it, so I figured I would bring it up with you guys. If you have seen rims that looked sweet on a chevelle or have any good recomendations on what would look good. Stock rims are 15'' I think a 17'' would look good, but he thinks that more tire sidewall would look better. I will post pics after we make the decision.

it depends on what ur doing with the car... if ur setting it up as a street type car torque thrust's and if not weld racing makes a bad set of wheels
