Default Who has Grots & SFC's?

I've got the G'Hann longtubes with his y-pipe & cats. I want to increase my ground clearance, as it's only 2.5" at the cutout, and ~3" on the driver side y-pipe. I also want to install SFC's. The car is _not_ lowered. At some point I'll get rid of the cutout so right now I'm mostly concerned about the headers & y-pipe. I want to keep cats on the car. If they need to be replaced the RT 700K series look smaller than the Carsounds I have.

If I replace the engine mounts with poly, I presume the exhaust will shake significantly less. Assuming no other issues as a result, would you put on SFC's first and have a custom y-pipe fabbed around it, or vice-versa? Which SFC's?

SFC's won't get in the way at all, if you look where the front frame protrudes back the Y-pipe has already made it's turn over towards the tunnel. They won't even come close.

You can have a Y-Pipe fabbed up any time. Now, if you're running a cutout you may want to see how close your cutout comes to the rear most portion of the front frame. That will give you an idea if you need to do the SFC's or Y first.

Wouldn't an X-brace or KBDD's that are welded in cause a problem R&R'ing the y-pipe and/or intermediate pipe in the future? The exhaust would be above the SFC's, no?

I've got SFC's, X-brace, and a DS safety loop, and my grots with cat Y still clear just fine.

Most of the good x-braces should come over to the g-load brace (wavy black piece that crosses the tunnel). If you get something like a Spohn torque arm the SFC connects on each side of the tunnel and the tunnel is bridge by the torque arm mount. Then when you have the Y pipe made up you can have it pushed up way into the tunnel like mine.

On the G2 brace I don't even think the pipes will come that close. I'd call up Lou and ask him what he thinks.

What you see in that picture is exactly what I have on my car, sans the G2 torque arm. No clearance issues for me with Grots, 3"Y, cutout...
