Pic 1= standard pushrod position
Pic 2= Bent pushrod which has made another groove on the side of the original hole the pushrod is supposed to go in...
Pic 3= New pushrod in its place...
Pic 4= in order from left from right... new, old, bent, new pushrods...
Im puttin everything back together tomorrow, any tips or concerns?
(would appreicate it)
The question im having is the new groove that is in the head which a new pushrod is replaced with Pic2 to pic3 is that gonna cause any problems from street or strip racing in the future?
i wouldnt imagine it would but thought id ask... im having difficulty putting the new valve cover gasket on the valve cover, seams too big but old and new are same size!?!?! anyways pretty simple job... just alittle time till i add new heads and a cam kit and tune it!
it happened when i took it to the track on friday... take off was really "boggy" then 2nd was fine and then it spit me out of 3rd which made me accidently over rev and bent that pushrod... that sux...
ALL U M6 guys how do i launch on a stock TA with stock rear and gears on 315 street tires? either i bog then take off which is 14s plus or i spin through first and run 14s.. i mean wtf... i have happened to get some good launches before... best run was 13.61... kinda dissapointing but hey..help me out if possible...only 3rd time at track
happy it was a cheap fix
now finish and change oil...
