Default Where to get a Z06 cam

i need a Z06 cam but i dont want to buy a used one cause they dont really ever come up and i dont like used parts that are so important like a cam. is there any place to buy one thats not from a chevy dealer? any sponsors sell them? and if u know i place thats not a sponsor can u please pm me

look in the forsale forum, i'm pretty sure that i saw someone who posted up this morning who had one that was new in the box.
i think that Scoggin-Dickey (SDPC) would probably have one

i looked in the forsale forum and i didnt see anything, i guess ill keep looking, by the way a good price on a new one would be about 250-300 bucks right?

you should be able to get one for more like 150 ish. 250-300 will get you almost any comp cam you want.

The SDPC LS6 Camshaft Kit makes your cam swap easy and painless. We include the GM LS6 camshaft (204/218 dur @ 0.050 and 0.550/0.550 lift), SD1423 valve spring kit with titanium retainers, Manley pushrods (7.450), Rollmaster double roller timing set plus all necessary gasket and seals and a new balancer bolt.

Note: The pushrods used in this kit are intended for use with LS1 heads only, Different length needed for LS6 heads. The block and LS1 heads must have factory deck surfaces. If the heads or blocks have been milled, the pushrods will be too long. If your heads or block have been modified, please call for assistance.

When I ran that cam I ran Comp Cams 918. I never had any problem with them. I am pretty sure I still have mine out in my garage.

Last time I looked, the 02+ LS6 cam alone could be had online for $225.40 plus shipping.

I would rather buy a used cam than any other used part. Buying a used cam isn't bad at all, as long as their are no nicks or rust on it. Otherwise than that, they dont really wear down like other parts.
