Low Oil Pressure, HELP!!
I just installed a refreshed motor, with clevite race rod/main bearings, and im getting **** for oil pressure, I hooked up a mechanical pressure gauge to see if it was a electrical problem, and it red, 0 psi at idle and it jumps to about 25psi after 2K but doesn’t go past 30psi at any RPM. I have checked my oil Repeatedly for signs of a spun bearing, but it comes up clean every time. I have changed the oil, Oil filter, and oil pump, with no luck of oil pressure. I have also checked to O-ring if it was crimped. I called my machine shop and asked for the clearances of the main and rod bearings, and they were right on. I dont have any other ideas, and am very frustrated at this point, so any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

Alot of people have been saying that could be the problem, Im going to work on it tonight, and see if its in there. I hope thats the problem cause i really dont want to pull this engine again.

There is also an oil plug on the front of the block......directly inline of the rear plug. The oil galley goes the whole way through.....
Here is one that might help. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-internal-engine/513389-oil-pump-assembly.html

If the plastic barbell shaped plug is not in the back of the block, you will not have any oil pressure. If they hot tanked the plug, it could be screwed up.
I had major problems and tried everything, finally realized that the oil pump pickup was sitting on the bottom of the oil pan. The bracket that attaches to the main cap can be easily bent and result in the pickup tube being too low. If you have main studs, they will space that bracket down.

See, that sounds like my problem, cause at idle which is set at 1000 RPM, it has 0 PSI, when i rev to about 2k it will jump to about 20-25 psi.

you better hope that running that motor with no oil pressure at idle and very little pressure under light increased rpm/no load/light load didn't begin the breakdown process on the bearings. Eventhough you've repedetly checked the oil for signs of failure, that doesn't mean the damage has already been done. You may not see the damage for a little while yet.
Be aware!! I would seriously consider having that shop (or another) fully inspect all bearings for signs of premature wear.

It's one piece. Part number 12558340 for the plug. Oring will come with it.
