Shelby GT 500 Terminates Terminators
The Shelby GT 500 Terminates Terminators and all other Mustangs to come before it". per MM&FF mag. Best time in 100% stock trim 12.25 @ 117
When he arrived the car was hot and just made three consecutive passes when he made his first run. That run was a 12.74 @ 111.
1st 12.74 @ 111 top of third
2nd 2.14 & 12.24 @ 115.70 top of third
3rd 2.13 & 12.54 @ 115.32 top of third
4th 2.11 & 12.225 @ 117.8 shifted into 4th
5th 12.37 @ 116.52
6th 12.41
Traction Control activated was a 12.61 and 12.68. Whats up with R&T and MT times?
Not bad for 2 tons, better look out C6 Vette's and C5Z's. Pull out spare, add light rims & DR, add a cold air, new exhaust, tune & what ever they can do to the pulley / front SC cover.

He said C6's and C5z06's, which the new cobra will beat both in stock form. Never mentioned a Z6 Z06, although with the gains that the 03 cobras see from bolt-ons I see no reason why the new cobra cant trap 125. 12.20's@117 out of a bone stock mustang on street tires is ******* INSANE. Put that ****** on some DR's and it will run 11's. 11's......in a stock.....mustang, WTF!!

You guys can laugh all you want, but I think those times are impressive for such a heavy car. 117 mph traps are damn good, thats higher than a C5 Z06, and about on par with a heads/cam automatic LS1.
Swapping a to a smaller pulley won't be easy on the Shelby though, it already comes with a small snout pulley, unlike the '03-04 Cobras.

I do think its sad that a car that has 500 HP, and doesn't really weigh all that much more than my car is only pulling times 7 tenths better than my 4.10/lid/bullet muffler-ed 99 Camaro. I mean at best, my car could maybe be pulling, what, 350 HP (and thats a looooong shot).

But Tony there is still the lower pulley. Our neighbors in our complex have ordered one and it should arrive soon. SCT already has the software done! As soon as it arrives we are going to go mod crazy!

Some of you people are straight up in denial. That car is going to seriously whip some ***. Who cares if it has a blower, and the motor is "bigger" when you break out a measuring tape?
The car weighs nearly 2 tons, and runs 12.20's @ 117mph in bone stock form. If you aren't impressed with that...well, I'm not qualified to diagnose what's wrong with your brain.
Slicks, drag wheels, CAI, Exhaust, smaller pulley, Alcohol injection = Big trouble for a lot of other cars.
