Default Finally!!! Cars on the road!! (video)

Well I finally got off my butt and got the car on the road!! I found out that my DFI cant handle my 85lb. hr. Low imp. injectors and I have to have a VIC(Veriable Injector Controller) to run them!! So basically thats the reason why its been running rich as hell!!! I got to drive it and it cruises at around 10.0 and when any boost it present it starts leaning out quick!! I got a set of High imp. 42's that im gona put in there just to brake the motor in with, then get the vic and turn it up!! In the video when it looks like I hit it thats only about 1/4 throttle!! It hit 10 lbs. in a split second and freaked me out!! Ha! The car has 4.10's in it still so it raps up like nothing!! This damn turbo is so freakin loud I cant believe it!!! The video sucks for picture and sound!! Oh and the reason it was running hot in the end is cause it was low on water!! Will have better footage of it later!! Planning on getting alot done tomorrow!!!

Damn your car is rich! I like the custom dash. Any more details on your setup (heads/cam/intake etc.)

Hey, that is great man... awesome setup, I am unbelievably jealous! Hope you're really happy with it. Loud turbos turn me on... I love the sound of mine... =) Sounds like a ground jet.

what was accels excuse for the injector issue? isnt that a selling feature of the dfi? to be able to run any injector? i mean you can buy a converter to run them on a stock computer.

Well ive got the Gen VI DFI and didnt want to spend another 2800 for the Gen VII!! But I didnt realize that that version wouldnt accept the low imp. injectors!! Of course I also had a shop that said they could tune the Gen VI with no problems and go ahead and put it in. So I completely built all my stuff around that computer system (you cant see any of the wires exept the tops of the first couple injectors) now they are telling me that they cant tune it!!! So I gota somehow figure all the bugs out and then how to tune it!! I know all the headaches will be worth it when its runnin good!!

Congrats on getting the car on the road. And FWIW, 116 is the lobe separation, +2 is referencing the intake centerline which would be 114.

Like mentioned already, the LSA is 116 with +2 degrees advance ground in.

Based off the above post you made is why I say its a 116LSA and +2 degres advance ground in. Now if it said 118 + 2 then its a 118LSA + 2 degrees ground in. I dont know what it is, just breaking down what you posted... "116 + 2" doesnt equal 118LSA on a cam card

I got ya!! Yea I need to get all the info on it!! I know there is a 116 and a 118 on the card, but not sure the area of them!! Ill post up the cam card when I can get it!! When im not on the gas it hits pretty damn hard!! You can hear it a little bit as soon as I crank it up! But then I hold the throttle up a little to move!!

Both are on the card.... OK, so its probably a 118 + 2 (118LSA and 116 intake centerline).

What rpm are you idling at? Could be too low, thats why it lopes.
