Fuddle Says: 3800/2.2 STR for my 396???

Does the STR seem low for that engine?

Im gona use N2O also but not till next year. Im wondering if thats why such a low STR. Any ideas?

****. id go higher on the stall rpm's also. atleast 4000+.

if youll be spraying that stall sounds fine. you probably dont need any more torque multiplication with the big displacement youll have. the lower STR should help your car be a little mroe efficient on the top end of the track

Exactly what I was thinking. I bet it'll work well with that 396 on the juice.

Haha....I have that exact stall. 3800/2.2. I'm running a cam-only (so far) stock cid LS1, mostly motor, sometimes with spray. I love the stall. The STR is nice because it will launch hard but it doesn't kill your tires on the street. FWIW, I asked for a recommendation for an LT1 setup I wanted to build for my buddy....ported LT4 heads/intake, big cam, and the same stall/STF was recommended. Haha. I guess you shouldn't fix it if it isn't broke.

One thing to remember, these guys do stalls for a living.
If you are not pleased with it, you can get it restalled for free.
Personally, I try not to second guess the experts.

i have the same stall (or had now that i am going th400).

it is a 3800 behind about 350-400 ft lbs of tq. on the 150 shot it flashed to 4400. i went 1.4 60' with it behind a 3500 lbs car
