ALOT! of Different LS1-LS2 Conversion ?'s!
I got the chance to swap out my LS1 for an LS2 recently and i have a few questions that i dont see much of.
1). Can i use my Ls1 Flywheel and clutch with my M6 Tranny? or do i have to use the ls2 flywheel and buy a new clutch?
2). Are the bolt holes on the front of the block the same from LS1-LS2's?
3). Can i use the accessories on my LS1 motor on the LS2?(waterpump alt brackets crank pulley ect?)
4). if i had to can i use my LS1 intake and TB on the LS2 motor? is there any problems ill run into with any coolant lines ect?
5). i can use the stock LS2 oil and knock sensors just use the adaptor harness's correct?
6). i have a painless wiring harness will i have any problems using this with the ls2?
7). for a bigger cam i will have to upgrade the springs in the ls2 anyways right?(almost 600 lift)
8). would it be better for me to use the stock ls2 injectors(if i can get them) and is there adaptors for the injectors or do i have to cut and solder new connectors on?(i know i need the spacer setup and bigger o-rings)
9). can i use the stock LS1 Starter?
10). i know i can use my ls1 oil pan but what else do i need to use. the ls1 pickup tube and thats it? or is there more?
Sorry for all the questions but these are all ones i need to have answered. i think this is all the questions i have for right now. if i think

1) Should be able to.
2) Which bolt holes? IIRC, the front covers are different, not sure if the bolt pattern is the same though.
3) Yes.
4) Yes you can use your LS1 intake.
5) ?????
6) Should work, but you will likely need the conversion (adapter) harness' that you talked about earlier.
7) Yes.

1) Not for sure, although people are using Spec clutches and other LS1 clutches on LS2 Corvettes, so I would assume it would work.
2) I do not know.
8) I do not know.
Might wanna post this in the LS2 section, get some input from someone who has done the LS1--> LS2 swap, they would know for sure.
Good luck, Shawn
