This has got to be a little restrictive, right?

Default This has got to be a little restrictive, right?

Originally, the ProCharger kit re-used the stock intake tube w/ $#!+ bag on the side. I noticed awhile later online that the kit was including a new intake tube with the kit, so I ordered one. Now with the e-fans installed, this thing is alot more noticably restrictive looking to me, as recently pointed out by quicksilverado and cablebandit (see pics).

So, easiest option would be to get two more 90's like the one I used on the new air intake, and a straight piece of tubing...problem solved.
The question to everyone is this...
What are your opinions of utilizing all of that extra space behind the e-fans to run straight up from the output side of the surge "T" to the TB, making provisions to include the MAF, and using straight meth...eliminating the small ATI ProCharger supplied A2A IC all together with?
Just tossing that around for input...

YOU ALREADY KNOW MY OPINION....STRAIGHT SHOT AND METH IT!!!! You said you dont get on it very much so its not like you will be using a lot of meth all the time. I hit mine early and often!!!

I should've known that you would be the first to chime in, seeing that you came up with the idea...

Since I took out a German Shepherd with my IC and the German Shepherd broke the welds on the main support bracket, I just thought it may be a good time to try it anyway...

Meth is fine, but OBX intercoolers are cheap and routing intercooler pipes is pretty simple if you look at what HTS has to offer.

I'll 2nd that... Way worth it running pipes and mounting an IC in my opinion.

Question

Hmm, it definately looks like some added boost could be picked up just by cleaning up the system. I agree though, that a large front mount intercooler would be the best way to go. Bob

air intake right on top of the driver's side exhaust and a restrictive inlet tube...somewhat solved one with the new 90* elbow and DryFlow filter, guess I need to clean up the inlet as well.
Bob, in regards to the air intake, would something like the fab you did on the Mazda or the Caddy be do-able in my application?
here's a pic of what you would be looking at...

not much room on the battery side, but maybe you could run it between the head unit and the alternator...

Do you plan on running some kind of heat shield around the engine side of the air filter? Might be a helpful thing.

thought of running a header blanket type of set-up...at least on that side anyway...the air filter is a little further away from the headers with the new set-up, but, at some time, I believe I am going to try to use an f-body ATI hat or a cobra head and try to route it in front of the battery and below the headlight...I may actually be able to use the Nitrile 90 on there now and run the same tubing as the new inlet to TB between the alternator and the ProCharger to that location as well...which I believe would work...I hate to have that many bends, but I believe that the difference in temp would more than make up for it...
