Default Kick Butt day at the track!

Well, went to a dual race today, both the Car Club Challenge and the Turbo Thunder VII event.

CCC was great, we had a really strong showing, hell even "I" made it to the Thrid round! Matt and his Trans Am made it to the third round also. Steve in his camaro made it to the 4th round I think before he got taken out. I believe the Final was NWMCA. But hey thats Racing.

Now on to the Main Event... I ran in the Turbo Super Pro bracket for the Turbo Guys, it was a 10.00-11.49 class. The cool thing is that the class only had 5 cars in it! Even cooler is that the payout is $500. So, the last time-trial I managed a .005 RT. And it bought me a Buy into the semi-finals. Then in the Semi-final, my guy red lights, SWEET! Then we wait forever before the final... I was sitting on my hands the whole time. The Final comes up, and my guy launches before the tree come down! Kick ***! The only thing that sucks is that I didn't get the $500 payout! Once it was said and done, the payout for 1st place was $600! Super Kick ***!

So, all in all, I made 18 passes between Friday night and Today. Won $600 and Drove the car home. Not too Bad.

Ryan K.

Hard to complain about making 600 bucks for a weekend at the track.

As far as times go, I have some kind of issue going on, the car ran a 11.007 first pass then slowwed to 11.3's. Somethings just not right...

Ellis, I had left my damn phone at home...

For those of you who didn't make it out. NW F-Body was outnumber 2:1 by the Ford Drag Team. Like Ryan said, we started out 14 For NW F-Body to 28 for the Ford Drag Team. After the first round we were down to 8 for NW F-Body. Then after second round we were down to 3 cars, which were Ryan K, Steve, and myself!

I drew Kenny in the third round, and I knew that I had to be quick on the tree! Kenny dialed in 12.97 to my 13.54. I launched and drove the car the same way I did all day. Kenny shot past me right at the starting light, his R/T was .027 to my .068. By half track I was gaining on him and I caught up and passed him by a fender, thought I had him! I ran a 13.527 on a 13.54 dail in to his 13.050 on his 12.97

Oh well I talke dot him after the race and he was cool he came up to me first and said I thought you had me. I said I knew it was close but was not sure. He told me that his car is wuick out the hole then just lays over so it can be confusing.

All in all I had a blast, made some rounds which is something I havent done and watch Ryan kick some ***.

P.S. For those that missed it, there was a GN that ran a 7.4X

I had the same exact thing happen on my run when I raced kenny at the last event I made it to. He's a damned good racer, and a good guy too. We chatted after the run with the same conversation you had. He gets us out of the hole then we catch him around the 1k foot mark. If I could just not break out by a hair everytime I race him it'd be sweet.

Congrats to Ryan and thanks for coming out for the event. Its nice to actual go home with some coin once in awhile! Maybe next year will be bigger. Start talking to all the american turbo cars you know to get them ready for next year! Here is a pic of me loaded up after I lost compression at the friday night TNT!

That is awesome Ryan! I wish I could have got out there, but I was really tied up this weekend. Bewteen Painting, pulling the Jetta apart, Long story, the Subaru and the Baby my time is limited.
Glad to hear everyone had a good time!
