what size cam?
im installing my own self built remote mount turbo using a t67 with an 84 backside in my 97z m6. im just refreshing the motor-gaskets, while i build another, i just wanted to do a cam install. ive already got 1.6 rockers,full-length headers, y-pipe and 3 inch exh. just want a good profile cam for the strip any ideas?

you can custom order cams any size you want, but don't think that you are limited to just a single pattern cam, many use duel pattern cams, and do great with them.
but in the end, you have to decide what you really want to run, what rpm, are you after more low end mid, or top end?
and of course then you have those that say you can't have any overlap, but at 5000 to 7000 rpm's how much boost is going to bleed off and back feed with a few degrees of overlap, pretty much none.
so before you ask what cam you should run tell us what your goals are.
but in the end, you have to decide what you really want to run, what rpm, are you after more low end mid, or top end?

well right now im budget confined but im just looking for a quick street car with what ive got. stock longblock, 1.6rr's, full-lengths, 3-inch off rod y, 3-inch exhaust, remote mount t67 turbo-84 hotside, t56-shortthrow, 4.10, upperlower ca's, hardtop. eventually i would like to only race, but i have another engine that im sending out now for next year-lower comp, fully forged,etc

changing anything will require doing valve springs, but I think .600 is about it, not positive though, but many are running gm847's with 1.6 rr's and that puts them at .595

It kind of depends on what your going for though, most of the max effort cars run bigger cams than that.
