Default torque converters????

i have a 01 ws6. im looking to get a converter but im not sure where to look. i heard the yanks are top notch. i need one that can support n2o. i was going to go with the 3400 but im not 100%. my buddy has an srt4 and he has a 3500 but his car will not move until he hits the 3500rpm mark. is there any converters that while im stopped will just go when i hit the gas????

they are both good

i think a LS1 needs a 4000 atleast to run best at track because the torque peaks so high

4000 would be ok on spray too

if you have a big cam or plan to go with a big cam then 4000 is a minimum (i have a MS3 and a 3500 and my car is a dog out of the hole with a th-350)

if you have a big cam and will never spray it then go 4500

if you have a big cam and will spray it then stay 4000

just my opinion

Do a search on Vig 3200 and convince yourself. I'm getting 1.5 60' times with one in my 4000 pound race weight Camaro and running 6.7s with it in the eighth. My car drives like a stocker on the street. If you are going to spray alot and spend more time on the strip then try a Vig 3600. We are pulling 1.3 60' times in my son's Camaro with one and running 6.4s in the eighth.

Had a vig 3200 and it worked fine, but my best 60' on slicks with stock suspension + n2o was a 1.7

Just installed a Fuddle 3600 last night, now have LCA, TQArm, and PHB so I'm curious to see what my 60' are without spray.

Several of our sponsors sell the Vigilante line of converters made by Precision Industries.
