texags is the worst of all of the Aggies sites. They have very little credibility. If this were coming from any other site people might take the information more seriously. But texags? Gimme a break.

Yeah, a lot of the Sooner fans are trying to say the old "well, everybody does it" stuff. Maybe other schools do, maybe they don't. But the fact of the matter is OU got caught with solid evidence to back up the charges against the players named. I'll bet even more improprieties are found as the NCAA will most definitely start digging around. The "everybody does it" speculation is just that. Speculation, until someone gets caught with solid evidence.

the spin i've seen so far, is the "atleast stoops is so much of a gentleman with alot of integrity to come out and take the right actions"
these actions should of been taken back in the spring when the AD said there was nothing suspicous going on.
looks like this is gonna be bad news for OU.

Stoops kicking Bomar and the O-lineman off of the team is nothing more than damage control. He's not doing anything "noble" by doing it. He's hoping that by OU taking some kind of action first that it will minimize the upcoming penalties from the NCAA against them. What's not going to help the situation is the issues with their basketball program, which caused Kelvin Sampson to resign. It's going to be the dreaded "lack of institutional control" that the NCAA could tag them with.
