Default think my MAF crapped out

well I been havin problems with my a/f ration lately. instead of running at 11.2 a/f wide open it shoots to 15:1 or so. My MAF is reading 30 lbs a minute at about 3000 rpms then drops to -34 lbs at like 3200 all the way to -50 lbs at redline. how common is it for MAF's to crap out on LS1s?

Check to see if there is dirt or oil in the maf. If there is take some carb cleaner and hose it down with it. Use a blow gun to dry it off. The maf will read horribly if it is dirty.
