Default tuning..........turbos

gotta question. once i get my car tuned in how much after that do i have to mess with the tuning? like with a NA car you tune it and its done, right? so once you tune an fi car is it done?

also how much power can you get with a stock computor/ stock map sensor. i mean is 700 rwhp out of the question for a stock setup?

trying to debate if its worth my time or not to keep the car i would really like to sell it but im having second thoughts. any opinions would be great.

The stock pcm has gotten Nitrorocket 1k crank estimated bhp on 93 octane (no meth).

The map sensor's got to go though.

Get rid of the stock MAF/MAP and put in a 2bar,have it tuned with that and your all set.

Oop's,just noticed it is a 98.

Slowhawk, what's wrong with having a '98? I plan going boosted next summer, what problems are there?

Kyle is running a 98 PCM well into the 9's, eights once the wick is turned up.

I'd say he's pushing 1k easily.

MAFT PRO is doing the work. Its a SD set up, but once it's tuned in you can switch from a low boost tune to a high boost tune with a flick of a switch(key stroke) from what I understand.

HPT also has 2 bar SD for 98's and it can be pushed pretty far @15psi and whatever your combo is capable of hp wise.

Once you get it dialed in you can leave the tune alone until you change something like more boost, cam or bigger turbo..then its retune time.

You can wing it pretty far on a 1 bar/maf set up, ask Kp.
www.hptuners.com for specifics on the two bar,
www.maftpro.com on their set up.
