Basically as genuine as it gets unless you buy it off of a factory car, non-the-less its the same thing just aftermarket... Hope that helps. Goodluck on your project.

Eh honestly people shouldn't be so uptight about it. Some people are just less fortunate, they shouldn't be persecuted when they attempt to acheive some-what of the "real" thing....
Goodluck on the project!
Btw, dealership=stealership, overcharge you, i'd stay away from there if I were you, try a junk-yard or something, or find someone on the forum in the sales section. Almost anything is better than buying from dealership. Goodluck bud, take care.

meh, i really dont see the big deal about it. i think it looks kind of weird to keep the z28 emblems on it with the SS hood and wing. and im almost tempted to put SS badges on mine so i dont have to hear the whole "You should have gotten an SS they're way faster." BS. everyone where i live is a ******* idiot ricer fucktard and that comment is getting old.

oh i don't have a problem with it, just warning you you might get some flak from the purists.
good luck with the project man. we need pics!
Oh and i hear ya on the people in town are idiots. because i have true duals that dump at the axle, i have no tailpipes. I also have a gfx kit, and my car is dark blue so the Z28 emblems dissapear into the paint. I had to paint them silver so they stood out. I had SOO many people wanting to race (in civics and integras and stuff) cuz they thought my car was a V6. People are idiots.

Don't you think this guy is a troll because he just joined and started off with a topic like this thats always heated. What i love is that almost everyone says its ok to use Corsa Knock off tips but its a sin to use SS emblems.

I alos don't see why people get all uptight about the True SS thing. It isn't like the cobras where the motor is completely different. Imitation is flattery. So I think if you are willing to do all the stuff to it then feel free to badge it. If someone is that worried about it they will have to check the door code. Who cares. Do what makes YOU happy. It is your car.

spoiler: okay
hood: okay
wheels: okay
but, putting badges/emblems on makes you a poser since that is clearly a label. I'm sure you will then tell everyone it is an "SS" also. It really sucks that some people have no grasp of the history of the Camaro and fail to understand that the "Z/28" has a better history than the SS. If these cars were all SS's, there would be posers trying to slap Z/28 emblems on them to be cool too I suppose.
Keep it real, be proud of the Z/28 heritage!
