Default Bmw M6

Has anyone ran one yet? I hear they trap 121 and they seem to be a tough cookie to crack on the highway.

ya the guy clearly didnt beat him there was a vid on here of an M6 destroying a renntech sl 55 i think not to long ago. With thoes mods that cobra would have gotten walked like a dog. And if he was in the 400hp mode no way could he have pulled 3 cars that quickly.

I ran both, the new M5 and M6. Heavy or not, they are very fast cars. I ran them with my modded C6 Z, so it was an easy kill, but I was still very impressed. The M6 is a little faster than the M5, but for most modded cars on the street, the M's will beat many and give others a very good run.

Yeah one of the mags got an BMW M6 to run a 12.4 at 121 mph in the 1/4. The M5 I think only trapped around 116-118. The M6 is a coupe and is a little lighter than the M5 sedan. Both are fast as hell. The M5 did 0-150 in 21 secs in one mag review. I can only imagine how fast the M6 is in the same test

I'm with M3Corevette on this one. The M6 may be capable of that trap, but there's also quite a few examples of people getting 114-115mph out of them.

All in all a C6 Z06 is capable of 127mph and most should be able to top ~120mph traps in them.

so yes as a "drivers" race if the M6 was on one of it's best runs and the Z06 on one of its worst runs then it could be close. At any other time however the Z06 will walk the Beemer.

I ran a NEW M5 in my 03 Cobra when it had only 440rwhp/478rwtq SAE (before the Stage IV port).

All runs were on the highway from speeds over 40 up through 80-100.

I walked away from him, keep in mind I did not put buslengths on him, but steadily pulled carlength after car length.

The guy was cool, still had temp tags in the window and gave me the thumbs up after.

We never got to line up from a dig, but I did watch him take off at low speed one time when I was stuck behind traffic and it looked pretty quick.

On a perfect day, perfect launch and perfect track, the M6 may trap 121mph.

On a shitty day, shitty track and shitty launch, the C6 ZO6 will trap 121mph.

All things being equall, the ZO6 would hand the M6 its *** (more hp / torque / and lighter).
