Wheels & Tires - Best looking rims for Pewter

Ok guys the time has come for me to finally get a new set of rims for my 2000 pewter ws6. Wanna get some ideas, may be black or chrome, deep dish or not lets see what you got. :drive:

IMO, C5 Z06 wheels look good on pewter F-Bodies.

i had those on my ss in chrome and i did not like them. c6zo6 rims are on the way yay!!

Any one got a pic of the zr1's?

Im going with the Torque Thrust M's in Anthracid. I have always like that type of finish for pewter but chrome looks good too. I have the Chrome Firehawks but they will soon be gone to a Firehawk owner. At home I have a collection of pewter birds and can post some up tonight :D

i would say the am rebels in black and then real dark window tint

I like black wheels on pewters, i purchased the chrome ones but didn't like the way they look, luckily they still let me trade it w/ balck wheels the nextday.

dark pewter with more black in it, DEFINATELY go black. If you have the lighter colored pewter you can get away with chrome, but i think black would still look better. And please, don't get any C6 rims.....as a matter of fact....think twice before you buy C5 Zo6 rims....you'll regret it later...i do, they are too common. :(

for a subtle look, I like factory painted SS or C5 rims.
Black chrome SS rims would be super tight.
Money no object - FM5s, satin.

I was looking through my collection of pewter cars and saw a really horrible combo. They put the anodized blue 30th TA rims on it :( ...ugghhh.

what color did u use for your ceta?

It was a satin finish black. I couldnt decide on clear or flat, so I went in the middle. Also I had heard of the flat turning a little chalky with time.

WhosNXT , what kind of headlight set up is that?

Looks like the Breathless Perf kit.

Gunmetal and black work really well against pewter. Chrome looks good too, but IMO you have to get the right style of wheel for it to work. With the black, you can get a Z06 style, Y2k/FM5 style or a fatter spoke AR Rebel style and they'll all work really well.

I've decided not to go with the z06 style because they are to many people with them out there. Walking into class today there was a black ws6 in the parking lot with them on. Thats why I think its going to be zr1 black or c6 black I can't decide
