I was looking in Autotrader magazine back when I got mine. It's funny, I actually didn't find my Formula in there, I saw a 1997 red LT1 Trans Am M6 for $8,000, so I called up, they said it was still there and I drove over to this dealership to look at it. Well, when I got there they tell me the T/A was JUST sold! I was pissed at this point because I had just drove like 1.5 hours. So, when I'm about to leave the guy goes.... "wait a second, I think we got a black one in this morning". So black being the color I wanted, I was happy again. So, we go to look at it and it ends up being a beautful black LS1 1999 Formula A4! And I wasn't even looking for LS1s because I couldn't find any in my price rang. So happens it was $10,800.. perfect! So I bought it! And got everything I really wanted except for an M6.. Black LS1 Formula!!!

I would buy from a private saller. I have a feeling cars like ta's and SS's get [driven hard] by every salesman on the lot until its sold. notice how everyone that knows your looking at it tells you " man that car can really move!"

I found one on the web google searching online classifieds in my area
$1500 for a 89 with a rebuilt 350 and tranny, rough paint, and no fabric on the head liner other than that. new stereo system and cd player all jbl audio. new reupholstered seats in the front. I think I got a fair price for it since Im going to be doing all the rest of the work myself. The only thing I dont mess with is trannies. nope. so all I really have to do is put a new paint job on it and any graphics. I can also do the liner and the carpet. thats about it. with the miles on it wheel bearings will need to be replaced soon, just little stuff here and there.
