hey guys, would the AC DELCO oil filter number PF 46s be good to go? im gonna do my first oil change on my car this weekend.
There was a poll on here, and the K&N bigger size filter is what most (without lowered cars) said they buy, I think it was #4007, but im not sure on that, you'll have to look around or wait for someone else to reply.

it is hp2006...that's what I use and I like it. I get better oil pressure with the k&n than the m1 filter.

K&N hp2006. I'm lowered and I haven't torn it off on a speedbump and trashed my motor yet.
There's plenty of things that hang lower than the filter, it's really nothing to worry about unless you're offroading with your car, traversing ruts and deep crevasses.

It always cracks me up when people say they don't want to use the bigger filter because on the K&N the nut on the bottom sits slightly below the oil pan. I always say they same thing....If you bottom out enough to take your oil filter out you have MUCH bigger problems than a snapped oil filter :)

K&N and Mobil 1 are too expensive for oil filters IMO, and FRAM, stp, etc is crap. I use Bosch premium filters, large volume and good flow.

Must be cheaper at Austin. Mobil 1 goes for 15 at the autozone in sugar land and K&N about 10

I'll take another look next time I buy my oil changing goods, but I remember the k&n being cheap. Even if it's 10, that's worth it to me for a superior quality oil filter. I get my stuff at Autozone too :)

k&N = 12 bucks, the M1 filter was about 8-9. As of yesterday at autozone. The K&N is a better filter than the M1 and all others out there right now. Cut the filters in half and you will see what I mean. The M1 is not a bad filter though, and if on a budget I would pick one of those up.

Yep, in the Austin area too.
Bigger deal is the $5.99 European Castrol 0w-30. That makes for an expensive oil change ...
