Exclamation Help With Slp Lid!!

http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...45&BIG=21045-1

see the hose in that pic for the 00-02 ls1? well i just bought one but its missing the hose part and the fitting on that hose that connects that hose to the AIR pump hose..but I have the fitting that comes off the lid itself. Is there a hose I can buy at an auto part store..that size? and where can i get a fitting that will work? thanks..

P.s if there is no solution for that...then i can plug up the hole on the lid and get the breather filter...but i dont know where to get the right size and type plug?.. any suggestions?? THANKS!

Go to Autozone, and buy the little miniature air filter for about $10 or so, clamp it on the hose, and zip tie it to the radiator support (out of the way, of course). I understand you need filtered air for that hose...

Because the hole in the lid is after the filter.

The hole for the hose is after the filter. So if you leave it open, then you will be sucking in unfiltered air into your engine.
And if you plug it half assedly (is that a word???) then you could suck your half *** plug into the engine (if your maf is descreened).
Like the others have said.....just take the lid into Home Depot and ask someone in the plumbing or elect dept to help you securely plug this hole. I bet you get out of there for less than $2.

Call SLP, they will sell you the kit, it's about $12.95. Then they will charge you $6.95 for handling and $6.95 (or so) for shipping. You wind up paying about $25 or so for it, but you can get it. I ordered one last summer and was quoted $12.95 and was amazed when my invoice showed up for a bit over $25.... But, you can get it if you need it.

Go to Lowe's and dig through those drawers that slid out under the special project section. Somewhere they have a crapload of rubber plugs in different sizes. All black rubber. I got one of those.
