Hole in lid for AIR
What kind of lid do you have? SLP lids have a hole for the AIR tube fitting, while most other lids don't. I presume this is the one you're talking about.

Yeah, it was the IAT sensor hole, i guess i just needed another look at the old one to realize that. I had totally forgot that that sensor was on the actual lid.

nylon snap-plugs. I bought one bag of each size
to plug the IAT and AIR holes in my lid. Don't recall
now, which ones I actually used. They look fairly
clean, better than a cork and duct tape anyway

I used some black weatherstrip cement to make the
AIR one airtight and ensure it'd stay put; the IAT
had a nice grommet for that.
