Default Patriot StageII vs AFR 205

So just like the title says, i am looking to get a set of heads to go along with a G5x3 cam. I see that the patriots are only 1100 bucks and the AFR's are 2500. Honestly what is the difference and what power would i gain from the AFR's that i wouldnt get from the Patriots. And would LS6 heads work on the LS1 becasue then i could go stage 3 heads? Thanks in advance guys.

Really you need to do some more research.
Everyone has different oponion's.
A stage 3 head is no good for your motor size/combo so rule that out.
I personially would look into AFR/Patroit/ETP/Trickflow/TSP/TEA/Dart.
Thee are a ton of great options.

If you are looking for one of the "Best bang for the buck" heads, check out Texas Speed's Stage I Ls6 head. If you have money to burn check out Trickflow. I think TSP's terminator heads are also a great middle of the price range choice also that has been right there with the big dogs.

if your going with a g5x3 cam, then go with the afr heads. i think the guys at L.G. recommend the afr heads with there cams anyways. but i would like to see a side by side performance difference between the 2.

We actually have a special on CNC 243 castings for $995 per pair, assembled. These heads are a quality product and will make great power. If you have any questions, please let us know.

the patriots are the best bang for the buck. the reason the other heads like AFR, Trick Flow and Dart ect are pricier is because they are a different casting then the Partiots. Patriot uses LS6 castings and puts there touches on them to flow better than stock. The others flow better then stock but have reworked combustion chambers and runners, mostly having the same internal volume as stock but increasing velocity. They do this by designignthere own casting, thus increasing the retail value. I was very surprised that the TrickFlows' flowed better then the AFR' not by much on the intake but the exhaust trickflow killed them. Hope any of this helps.
