Default P/V clearence w/ this cam and heads?

right now I have the 225/225/589 112 with PRC ls6 stock valves, milled 30 thousands. I want to install the TSP torquer 2 cam, 232/234 595/598 112. Will this cam fit? I've talked to the guys @ TSP and they said it'll probably be ok. I really don't want to check it. Anyone know if there will be any P/V issues?
thanks

You have to check it. Sorry man. I tried to avoid it both times, but honestly the tolerances in our engines can be so different that there's no answer. Just check before you button it up. Yes, an entire 3 minutes.

And remember: just clearing it isnt' enough, unless you wanna shift at some pussified RPM before your setup even peaks. You want it to have the recommended clearance.

Intake:
preferred .080"
acceptable .060"

Exhaust:
preferred .100"
acceptable .080"

And no, I have no idea why more on the exhaust than intake.

N4cer is exactly right, checking p/v is very important.

On the exhaust stroke the piston is chasing the exhaust valve up BTDC. If you get any sort of valve float on the exhaust side at high RPM the piston can smack the valve. Also, the exhaust valve is going to expand more than the intake valve. Another reason you have to add in more safety tolerance.

The moral of the story, you'll need to check it for sure.

Man....go the extra mile and check it. You could very well save yourself some grief with the extra work.
