Well for starters make sure your bottom end is forged, crank, H-Beam Rods, Flat top pistons with good rings. Top end get your old LT1 Intake & heads and have them ported by Loyd Elliot, Port Pro's, Advanced Iduction, they are all good... They can also make your custom grind cam. Comp Cams 1.6 Pro Magum Rockers, you can use factory lifters (buy them new though). Some chromoly pushrods. 58mm T/B. Double Roller timing chain or the LT-4 Extreme Duty. Electric water pump, Headers of your choice. These are the basics, you can get more technical. I'm sure others will add... Oh and make sure you get your compression at least 12:1.

This also depends on if you want to be streetable or not. It is very easy to put together one that is not streetable. but it is a little harder to put together one that is streetable , emissions friendly , and pretty fast. The setup in my sig passed MD Emissions and ran 11.9's on motor. Its nice to have for a street car.. now i dont want a street car, i want a limited street mostly track car. but yes LE, portpros, ai, all those guys have proven numbers. If you want it to be semi streetable, talk to some guys about cams that are not so nasty but make good power.

exactly my streetable limit....freaky.
a buddy of mine in my town owns a "streetable" 629RWHP 03 cobra...that thing can't lock up for ****, which is why people down here in their 300HP birdies stay with him until he hits 3rd gear.
