Default My Camaro SS Isnt Normal!!!

ok so my friend has a gs 400, which is faster than most 400's for some reason. ok well he can keep up with evo's and lose to em' about 2 cars. Than i raced him and i seriously beat him by 15 CARS!!! i got my ss about 3 weeks ago and i am going to dyno it this week. I just wanted to say this because it's fuckn badass pulling tht badly with a car that is fast enough to keep with evos. Just think of the other cars tht i can beat. O and i also raced a lotus exige S (if you dont know the difference between a lotus elise and this elise runs 0-60 in 5.3 and exige s 0-60 is 4.5) i beat it by a half a car. Im just real excited to see wut horsepower and torque i pull out!!!!

That sounds pretty good, and if you dyno lower then your expecting dont feel bad bc its at the track where it matters.

if the evos were stock then those 2-3 car losses arent great. so you should kill that gs whatever it is. me, a 2002 Z28 and a bud, a 2000 SS spent one night beating up on two stock evos when we had just got out cars, bone stock.

from a roll a evo is slow. from a dig with a good driver, and driving to break it they are fast.

jsut because your friend beats X car, and you beat him doesn't mean you can bea that car too. The driver makes a huge difference. A evo is pretty fast from a standstill only if a person can launch. most evos who doen't launch at the track tend to run low 14s at around 100. Launching with a GREAT driver should get them low 13s at 104-105. So I woudln't go out and assume your car is going to make a insane amount of power. Also, the exige and elise make the same power, your times are different because your magazine racing, which doesn't take into account of differences in track condition, elevation, driver...ect. the elise and exige are prettym much the same car, nearly identicaly weight and power.

expect 315ish rwhp with your SS at the dyno. it's a quick car but there's nothing magic about them. factory freaks might get up to 330ish rwhp, and the dogs are around 290ish rwhp. glad you're excited about the car, just realize that a lexus gs400 is slow as ***** and you BETTER win by bus lengths.

no guys this gs 400 is different, he smokes other gs400 about 5 cars and brandon just to tell you i think a supercharger in an elise makes quite a difference from a elise without a supercharger, they are different and the race with the gs400 and the EVO 9 MR (sorry didnt say which one) was from a dig and he lost by 2 cars. Ill tell you the stats when i get back from dynoing it
thanks for the comments

o yea i forgot to tell you guys, ok i watched this vid of an ss (stock) v. a 350z (stock) and i dont know how this is but the ss only beat it by like 1-2 cars, if tht's true than my brother has a 350z and he raced my friend with the gs400 and he only beat the lexus by 1 car. With this, if normal ss's can only beat z's by 1-2 cars than my SS must have something done to it. Just to tell you i might sound like a total noob, but im just really curious about my car rigt know. Also im going to be racing a 2003 M3 this week and was wondering if any of you guys have raced one and if so how was the outcome?
thanks

click on each car then specs....apparently lotus doesn't know that they sell a supercharged elise/exige..maybe you should let them know. its kinda weird THAT THE SPECS ARE EXACTLY THE SAME....hmm...sounds like somethign I said

I'm not going to bother quoting your last response. EACH CAR IS DIFFERENT, EACH CAR IS DIFFERENT. Just because your brother raced the guy and only beat him by a car at that time, doesn't mean that you will barely beat him. You getting confused cause you keep on magazine racing and then putting that into real life. THE DRIVER MAKES ALL OF THE DIFFERENCE.

4g63t motor is amazing, to bad they're dumping it for something new, but maybe it'll be similar to the way the lt1s went out and the ls1 came in, nobody really believed in it. Like I've said a couple of times, evos are fast, only in really good driving hands. i;ve had two friends with turbo awd eclipses. Both fo them had similar mods, ran the same amount of boost on identical turbos(16gs) one guy ran high 11s at around 118, the other guy was running 14.0s at 108. one guy could drive, the other couldn't.

1.the guy in the SS didnt know how to drive if he only won by 1 or 2 cars.
2.normal ss's dont beat z's by 1-2 cars. stock for stock an SS and Z are evenly matched. some z's beat ss's, and vice versa. stock for stock, my z was faster than my buddys ss all day long.
3.i raced an m3 when i was just exhaust and beat it pretty good.
4. great to see that you are excited about your car.

here's a question, what do YOU think you're going to dyno at with a stock SS?
