whats a good injector size for a 383 set up with nitrous?

42lb injectors should cover you and give you some room to grow... plus da green looks cool

i would run a 30 pounder it is plenty. alot of people run 42 lbs but that is over kill. sometimes messes with your drivablity and tuning becasue you have so much i am running 37 pounders and that is is just fine and i have a pretty agressive set up. Everyone has there own ideas. I would say anything 30 to 42 you would be fine talk to your tuner and see what they recomend.

36 lbs/hr will support 500 rwhp. Most places than do ECM tuning recommend useing the Ford SVO 30 lbs/hr wich is equavilent to a 36-38 lb/hr injector. Don't worry about the 4 letter word, they are built by Bosh for them and many other manufactures. Contact Ed Wright with Fastchip and he can explain this much better than me.

I'm running Racetronix 37# injectors.

A wet kit has no bearing on injector size because the additional fuel is added outside the injector.

I would get the 42's as my H/C 347 is close to maxing out the fords SVO's running at 36 lbs, and yes its approaching 490 hp to the rear so the statement of supporting 500 to the rear with these injectors seems acurate to me.

i say go with 42's also i am running 30 SVO's and still over 80% duty cycle when on the spray.

My heads/cam motor was maxxing out 28lbs injectors, at 32lbs I am still marginal since it is approaching 90% still and ideally you want to stay at or below 85%.
I plan to buy injectors this winter and will probably go 42lbs or thereabouts so I never have to deal with it again. Gets too expensive to buy the same parts over and over.

Mine are 37 lb Racetronix on my 383, NA motor, I've seen 67% duty cycle under full load.

ACCEL started buying from Bosch, so they are fine now. Drove me nuts for a long time tring to tune for their injectors. Never flowed what they were suposed to, and seldom any two in a set flowed the same. If they are yellow, avoid them, The new Bosch units are not yellow, silver is what I've been told.
If your close to 500 rwhp you need 42lbs. They will NOT hurt your drivability, if your tuner has a clue.
