Default 236/242 .560/.580 112LS good for my setup?

I want to get this cam. Got the LT4 hotcam now. Mods in sig. Not mentioned-30# injectors, Crane Gold 1.6 rr, Comp "R" lifters, LT4 timing chain. I know I'll have to get new springs, retainers, locks and will probably go with FMS hardened pushrods. Anything else? Will this cam go well with my setup? This is not a dd. I'd like to see around 20-25 rwhp increase over the hotcam, or more. Is this cam too big for stock bottom end? Opinions welcome.

I don't see any reason why it wouldn't work with your current mods. I bet that you pick up about 40-50 rwhp with this cam compaired to your baby cam.

I doubt you will pick up 40-50 hp, but it will pick up. With that much duration be prepaired to spin the motor up to 6500+ if you wanna maximize your hp. I currently have a CC305 cam which is similar to the hot cam, and am also looking at upgrading to a larger cam. I decided to pull the motor out and have it freshend with all new bearings, honed, and reringed. Hopefully with a fresh motor it will tolerate the extra RPMs a little better. Im only looking to pick up 25-30hp.

If it isn't a dd then hell yeah you should go for it.

I don't think it is too big for stock bottom end, I run 230/244 .544/.576 on my stock bottom end.

You won't pick up 40-50 hp, more like 20-30 and yes you will have to spin it to around 6500-6600 to make peak power.

have a friend using that cam in a 383 and he doesnt like it. I think it's way to big for stock bottom end, if it's fresh and it's got beter bearings than the stockers maybe but if not i dont see it lasting. why not go 230/236 or 233/239, much better for street and still see a good power curve.

The custom grind cam that I had made for my 355 LT1 for open course road racing is 302/310 @.050 234/242 .544 lift int/exh with a 112 LSA and 112 int centerline. I have had no driveability problem's with this cam. It still idles at 900 rpm and screams after 3000 rpm to 7000 rpm.

I have that cam on a 110lsa and with a MadWolf tune it idled and drove like stock! It had good torque in the mid range and pulled like a **** from 3500+ If I knew it would drive so well I would have gone with a bigger cam. BTW its for sale $200 shipped if you're interested. I went with a custom blower cam on my current 338 build up.

How did you get that cam on a 110LSA. Did you just call comp and say you wanted the cam made on a 110LSA not 112?

you can get the LSA at what ever you want it at. Man it sounds like you need a custom cam. Why not talk Joe. O or Bret B. on here. If you want a bad *** cam, they know their ****.
