Default Virginia sucks

I just realized today how bad laws suck in Va. I mean, we have to have front plates, we have to have cats, and we can't have radar detectors. I could drive 40mins-1hour into NC, and have all those things. I think Va legislators should have to vote, either let us have no cats and no front plates, or let us have radar detectors. Anyone else live in a state with crappy laws?

^^^Lucky bastard. I'm so getting a radar detector if I ever move out of Va, so long as I don't move into D.C. lol. Anyways, I was wondering, once your detector lights up, how long do you have to slow down before the cop can trap your speed in the gun's display?

i don't have a radar at the moment but if its not a good unit hen it goes off for everything and after a while you ignore it and get pulled over.

If I ever got one it would be Valentine One. I'm just wondering cause like, it lights up, then as the signal gets stronger the beeps gets faster till continuous tone. But if the cop already has your speed locked in at the lowest possible detection level for you then what's the point?

your radar detector goes off when it detects radar. If there are other people on the road, it will pick it up when the cop is gunning someone else, but if you are alone, then you detector is going to go off when the cop has you and is already detecting your speed, so you are screwed.

In most states you have to have front plate. Its a federal law about the Cats just some states dont have emissions. And it must suck not being able to have a radar detector. Isnt that and like 1 or 2 other states have that law? And haveing a radar detector doesnt gauantee you wont get any tickets. If your the only one on the road they are pointless.

Seriously. I might as well live in Cali. I'm trying to build my 302 and drop it in something, but because of damn emissions and ****, I have a limited selection of body choices, etc. Forget dropping the damn thing in anything a decade old. Damn *****.

i just got a damn ticket this morning for not having a front plate. i'm pissed! i wasn't even doing anything wrong (aside from not having the plate) and he went out of his way to stop me for it and was a complete dick about it. i've driven the car for 10 months without one and have only been messed with one other time and it was just a warning. seriously... don't they have anything better to do then crack down on jay-walkers and people running no front plate?!? my buddy was robbed at gun point last week and they're out looking for people without a front plate! $150 ticket just 2 weeks before christmas. what's an *******.

sorry for the rant.

Yup VA laws suck. Plus we have a crappy tint law. Our tint limit is around 50% or so.

Oklahoma, no inspections, smog, or stupid rules... But the state is straight trash.
