loss top end...
I just did a t56/4l60e swap and i have lost alot of top end. Im running a 3400 stall and 3.73 gears. Anybody have any input on why i would of loss so much top end? Its a rebuilt tranny as well with all fresh parts.

Well, right from the factory a m6 is going to pull harder up top than an a4, just look at mph diffrence in the 1/4mi between the 2. What brand stall? What str?

That's probably all it is....I've had both and I know the M6 felt so much faster even though my A4 is significantly faster than my M6 ever was. On top of that, TC's can affect top end pull. A higher STR converter may not be as efficient up top as it is down low. In my case, with a 2.5 STR the car feels faster up top than it did before but I have no way of testing that theory.

I don't drive it much to begin with cause its not a DD but i just left it at the trans shop to get it fixed. The fluid still looked and smelt normal so hopefully i haven't tore anything up in the short while that i have drove it since it started this problem. They said they were going to put a gauge on it and see where the pressures were at.
