Default Blackout tail lights on a pewter Z?

Hey everyone, Im debating on getting blackouts for my tail lights or a berger panel on the back of my Z. Does anyone have pictures of their pewter Camaro's with blackout tail lights or berger panels? I have a picture of my car if anybody doesnt mind photoshopping or something. Thanks

P.S. yes I know next will be wider tires....one step at a time

I've seen a couple of pics on here of Pewter Camaros with black berger panels. I'm leaning that way myself. I just don't know whether to get pewter vinyl letters or just filling in the "Camaro" before painting it black.

I would highly suggest not getting blackouts. On the Camaro's from 97 and up with the newer tail lights, the blackouts will cause the tail lights to melt.

I had this happen to me twice before I found out why. My buddy's also had this problem, so it isnt just a one car thing. Tail lights are $300 to replace.

It seems like some people try to to talk bad about blackouts but i think they look good and get rid of the ugly *** stock lights.

The only two I have hosted. I have others but were lost in my hard drive when it crashed.

Personally I've always liked them. I could care less what everyone else tells me, it's my car.

That first picture makes me think of the back of a GTO for some reason, I dont know. I like the look of the blackouts and dont mind if other people like it or not, thanks for the pictures and ill look into that melting problem, sounds kind of weird, but ya $300 bucks for replacement tails is something I dont have lying around ha.

that whole melting thing DOES happen. I have had my blackouts on for like 1 1/2 years and once you take them off, both taillights have indents in them, but as long as you leave the blackouts on, its not really a problem

I've had the same set of blackouts on my tail lights for 7 years. After hearing all this crap about melting tail lights I took them off last month to see, they're still in mint condition.

^^either you dont drive your car alot, or you dont use ur brakes a lot, lol. Or maybe you live in a colder area. hmm, or maybe your lights produce less heat for some reason. I guess your just lucky

I like that berger panel, clean looking Z btw. Is that your Y-pipe ran over the axle, and then dumped behind the rear tires? Ive wanted to run my true duals over or under the axle and dump them behind my tires, just to get the interior noise /rattle taken care of. Its not too bad, but for a daily driver, it can get annoying.
