Default 3" intake piping not so good?

hey guys my brother gave me my christmas present early. It an intake off ebay that replaces the intake elbow as well. The only thing i thought was kinda funny is that the 3" piping is smaller than the stock intake tube, except where is goes between the brake control module and the radiator. could this 3" intake piping be hurting me? I'm basically stock except for the mods in my sig (if you can call them mods ).

I had to modify it a little cuz i don't have a MAF so i had to cut one of the pipes to take it's place so now my filter is pretty much in the stock location instead of in the bumper.

The stocker could have 20 inch tubing on each side of the pinch, it's still flow limited by the pinch.

I would use the stock elbow after seeing the one it comes with. I don't like how close to the TB it exits from 3". Would you notice a diff, probably not, just my opinion.

that doesnt look good at all. Doesnt look efficent at all. Use a intake elbow for sure weather it be a trick flow or stock.

I would say it is a little better than stock but there are better out there. On a stock motor I would not feel bad about keeping it atall. The smooth tubing is a good thing too, I think most of us would agree a smaller tube with smooth flow can certainly outflow a little bigger one with varying diameters and rough flow.
