I ordered a set of these from Third Gen Decals. It is to go on my 02 SOM SS. It has been two weeks since i ordered them and still nothing has shown up. Has anyone had troubles with this guy?

I find it weird that he wont return my emails x 2.


On another note.....does anyone have some pointers on the application of the manta....I have heard that it is difficult. I have applied vinyl before but so have many others that have had problems.

I sent them a few emails last spring and NEVER got a reply. But, I decided to go with paint instead of vinyl and I'm VERY glad that I did. You have a beautiful SS. I would look into painting before blowing the cash on the vinyl, imho. Here's how mine turned out:

My only problem with that is I dont want to paint the car. I dont know if i will like the way it looks and i want to be able to go back to factory if need be. Car looks good though.

Well, that's a valid reason for going with vinyl. Personally, I just don't like the way a huge piece of vinyl looks on a painted surface. But, I'll never be selling my SS so needing to go back to stock is not a consideration for me. Good luck with yours though.

I ordered my stripe kit from them and got it no problem, that was last year though.

Jay is rather odd. I ordered off his website and got it right away but when I screwed up my rear stripe and tried to figure out how to order a new one it took like 3 tries for him to reply and he never did send the invoice he said he would. I just paypaled him the money and then about 3 days later the stripe showed up. I like his products but his customer service is lacking.

jay is ok with getting back to me when i get stuff from him just takes a bit of time lol

i think he is doing it on his own along with other stuff...........but give him an email or a call b/c the number he lists is his cell and is fairly good at getting back to you on there if he doesnt answer

but no worries man hes straight up just kinda slowish

the decal i have i had a girl that runs a local ricer vinyl shop put it on for me....she has done alot of rather large graphics on cars and even she said that it was fairly difficult for her....so i would get someone like that if your not too sure

but yeah louisiana is cool i just moved back from california and i must say it is good to be home
