a/c system how hard is it to remove the a/c system on my 99 camaro...and another random question, my water pump is leaking, is there a better one i can replace it with instead of an ls1 water pump...and not a electric one, thanks

I don't know if the camaro and the t/a's are exactly the same but I imagine they are close. Most of the a/c system is a piece of cake to remove. The evaporator core in the dash is a pain. You pretty much have to pull the dash. I pulled everything but the evap. You'll be surprised how heavy the comp and the brackets and bolts are.

yea, im not going to go that drastic with ripping my dash apart, but i want everything in the engine bay gone, but there are a few hoses and stuff...is there a write-up on it, or any things i should watch out for?

I don't know of any write ups on it. Just get under the hood, it's very simple. As far as the belt goes I just cut it with a pair of wire cutters. The only thing you really need to worry about is getting the freon removed from the system before you start pulling it apart. After that just start unbolting things.
