Default Can someone with a clue HELP

OK, I have spent a **** load of hours reading up on tuning. I have this current tune set up and the car is running decent. Would some of you guru's give me some more pointers or tips on how I can make this better. The only main problem I can tell so far is that, I tend to hit the rev limiter before it shifts 2/3. I tried to adjust that but it did not make a diff.

TIA

I have the shift rpms at 5900, tried to put the rev limit to 7k. Must not have adjusted the right thing. This program is so confusing. I know what I want to change, just not able to figure out how to do it.

a. no where in that log file shows you going over 6000 rpms
b. your rev limiter is set at 7000 rpms
c. shift point set at 5900 rpms & 66mph for 2-3 shift with 3.72 gears yes 3.72 tire height of 24.9

do you have a log where you actually go over say 6400 rpms?

I know, it wont let me go. I hold the gas to the floor and at ~6k I get this second or two studder then it shifts into the next gear.

I had a "pro" tune this before I bought hpt and thats what he had in there for the gear. Thought that was maybe the 3.72 was "offical" size of the gear, not sure. I Will change that though.

Is that the right size tire? I have the 16" stockers on it.

Thanks

I noticed you have the shift lock enabled...i wonder if its locking the converter at wot & maybe thats what your feeling? I mean you didnt do much of anything engine wise as far as tuning, mostly tranny and thats one of the things that isnt necessarily normal.

Like I said before, I had someone else "tune" this before I began messing with it. I did not like how it ran and knew I would be getting more mods so I decided to get hpt and learn for myself.

So you think I should just "disable" the shift lock? I did not see any speed/rpm adjustments that would make that hold at 6k though.

all stock files have it disabled as far as I can tell & I've personally never enabled it so its worth a shot. Like I said its not a rev limiter so its gotta be something else going on...maybe logging tcc in your next log would be a good idea to see if thats it.
