Thanks for the info, I've already got one though. They have a pretty decent wiring
diagram for the pcm. Mine has been really helpful even though I'm not gonna be fuel
injected.

I've had one since I thought about doing my swap.. With reading this and the other two LS1 HP books, I have found alot of info. I don't know why anyone would not have at lease read some of these manual and books.. but as you can see from the Threads on this forum, seem like 90% have not..!

This and the other two LS1 HP Book are a must read for good basic information on the LS1 and Swapping.

Also note that this guide is based on a 98' motor, Wiring harness and pinout, and 98' PCM.

I didn't find it all that helpful, but it has some part numbers in there that are hard to find.

Level of being Helpful will depend on your own knowledge and skill set and how much time you have into working with this product.... If you find anything of use.. then it is of some help and knowledge.

For those who are asking the same basic questions that we see every week.. it would be of more help to them than you or me.

Do they have any for the later model years?

Additionally, what books?

This is an excellent suggestion and something I'll do before I start my 7 build. Thanks!

I have those other two also. Had them since before I even considered doing a
swap.

Those would be for a starter..:

HPBooks - Chevy LS1/LS6 Performance by Christopher Enders
and
How to Buld High-Performance Chevy LS1/LS6 V-8's by Will Handzel

As I stated before.. "Good Basic Information"

Hope it helps.

I know you had good intentions giving us this info but it sure cost me! I went to a Chevy dealer to get the magazine, then ended up ordering $140 worth of parts while I was there. I needed the parts but sure didn't mean to spend that much!

Thanks anyway - they'll have the book by the end of the week.

Joel just type in LS1 on the amazon search and it should be the first book to pop up. It did for me anyway; and the title is Dyno-proven GM LS1 Thru LS7 Performance Parts. It is by S-A Design.
