I just ordered v2 EFIlive from BLACK02SS, hope i can tune it.
I need to scale the injectors back, it fired ran a short time but was extremely rich, stalled out and doesnt want to restart. Pulled the NGK TR6'S and they were soaked. New plugs on the way

Any comments or Recommendations on my setup.

BTW My header studs were a steal. $23.00 with Locking nuts for all. Believe it or Not Bobby Rahal Lexus in Mechanicsburg PA. Really good quality, Compare that to 100 bucks for ARP. Fit and work great.

damn.... rich enough to soak the plugs and stall it out without a restart?

Was the tune not scaled for 42s? even ballpark? If not, why didn't you just run it with 28s or 26s whatever the tune had in its IFR table?

Heads are 205s. I seem to remember that 98-99 MAFs read richer than the 2000+. Tune was set with a different MAF, so that's where I'd look.

First, go ahead and get your headers installed and your exhaust pipes at least so that you can put a wide band AFR sensor in one of the O2 bungs. You are running 42 pound per hour injectors. Is your PCM set up for 28.5 PPH injectors or what? You will need to look up your injector flow rate in the calibration and set it to 42 PPH or the equivalent 5.3 grams per second. Now, this would work for my truck since it has a fuel return line and the pressure regulator maintains a constant line pressure. I'm not sure what you would have to do to scale it for a returnless fuel system. Maybe you can get a tune for a setup similar to yours as a starting place.

Starting point is very close. He purchased my motor with intake and fuel system, and is using my computer. Only change is the MAF.

It actually sounded very good to me (considering the audio quality). Congratulations. Beautiful car BTW.

Once you get the headers on the car and a wide band and let it run a few minutes and get up to operating temperature, you can tell more about what is really going on with the mixture. Right now, it can't go into closed loop (which is OK). Again, it actually runs a lot better than I had envisioned. I'll check back again in a few days and see what progress you are making. EFILive is excellent tuning software!
