Default EFILive Auto-Cal?

I have heard tell here and there re: release of EFI Live Auto-Cal which would allow easier 'remote' tuning. Any info re: release of this and will it be as cool/useful as it sounds for those w/ no tuner close by? That is, I get basic tune, load it, log data, send log's to tuner for adjustment, get new tune based on logs and re-load, over and over again until it's spot-on?

Or is that just a pipe-dream?

It does work for a number of tables, not all are suitable. But any table which you can manually alter with feedback from the scantool maps can be used to feed into the tune in realtime. Values need to be re factored to 1. (eg) over one increment, under 1 decrement.
You also need a Road Runner PCM to make it work.

ringram: AutoCal, not autotune

AutoCal is exactly what you are suggesting. It will allow you to have a tuner send you a file, you transfer to AutoCal and then flash to vehicle. You can scan data and send to your tuner and refine etc. Very cool!

Latest on Auto-cal? Would work great for me, but seems to be taking forever to be released. Any info on pricing and availability would be appreciated.

Shouldn't be to much longer now. Standalone reading of controllers has been out for ages now. So all we need is Flashing and Autocal should be ready to go.

We have just released the Black Box Reading and Flashing functionality for our FlashScan V2 device into Beta. This functionality is common between the FlashScan
V2 and AutoCal device, and is obviously essential for the AutoCal device.

Until the Beta program concludes and we are satisfied that the functionality and stability requirements are met the AutoCal cannot be commercially release. It is just not something that can be put to market half-baked (and that practice is definitely not our style).

Hopefully toward mid-late April we will be better placed to set expectations.
