Default Need computer to check 02 sensor....

My SES light came on, autozone says its one of the 02 sensors.

Anyone in Houston have a computer to check which sensor is out

The only mechanic shop around my house that looks legit rips people off! So i dont want to go pay some bullshit amount for an easy job.

Is it relatively easy to change out 02sensors? The guy at autozone said he thinks its the one by the exhaust manifold but he wasnt sure.

Anyone in Houston want to help me out?

O and if you know anyone selling stock 02 sensors that are good, please let me know

There's not a generic O2 is bad code, there are codes for each sensor. Just look up the code and it will tell you which sensor is bad.

either that or take em out manually one by one and check em yourself. if you shake em and you hear it rattle on the inside, it means its bad.

The guy at autozone told me that his reader was not good enough to tell him which sensor was bad

It will, I used to work at Auto Zone, they should all have the same scanner (little orange one). It will say bank 1 or 2 and sensor 1 or 2. Bank 1 is driver side, bank 2 passenger, sensor 1 is front, sensor 2 is rear.

he did narrow it to the bank two sensor, but he didnt say if it was sensor 1 or sensor 2.

So does the car have 4 sensors?

if i need the sensors for bank two, will i need to buy one individual sensor, or is it 2 sensors for bank 2?

Go back and get the exact code.... P0xxx

You can look them up here....

If it's a bad front O2, I suggest going with some Bosch 13111's and replace both of them. They can be found here for cheap.
