Intmd8t (i think thats his sn) has a Twin Turbo Lt1 with 900/900+. That has AC and everything. Couple other turbo cars too that might be daily driven. And I am sure there are a bunch of N20 cars out there as well.

I'm sure there a few guys on here with 800+rwhp that claim to be dd's. But what do you mean by a dd? Some people consider that to be their only car and means of transportation. I doubt guys with 800+hp monsters drive their car to work and for errands etc., although I'm sure there are a select few that do. But overall, people with cars making that kind of power drive them a few times a month, not as a true DD, but maybe I'm wrong. Either way they are some badass cars.

I would have to question the sanity of anyone who drove a 800+ rwhp car as a true "daily driver". If someone has 15-30K for mods then I'm sure they could squeeze out another grand or two for a beater to drive to work and back.

So I agree with you. But I consider street driven and daily driver to be two different things all together. There are lots of street driven monsters out there and to them I

I think that DD driven means that they use the car for everthing. Including 800 mile vacations, grocery store runs, driving the car in the rain AND snow, going to work (aka real work not to a auto shop), and also driving their mother to the hospital when she is having a heart attack.

If you own another vehicle that is used for anything other than off-roading or specialized for crap like hauling horses than your 1000 hp beast isn't a daily driver like the regular world considers it.

If you can sit and put-put in a car with 3.73 gears and 1000 hp on a hour-and-a-half long drive 10 miles to work than how the hell do you afford gas???

BTW in Austin it took almost two hours for me to drive 22 miles to class every morning before North-183 was reopened, I spent over 90 dollars a week on gas and I only drove my Camaro ~175 miles.

Now that is a test for any car to be called a daily driver!

It's in the works. More boost, more fuel sustem mods, good sized shot
of nitrous. I'm expecting 800rwhp or so. My car is no longer a daily driver though.

Yes David has dynoed 995 rwhp on his full weight and daily driven car. I believe he drove the 200+ miles to a dragstrip and cracked 9's when he became the first FI 6 speed LS1 in the 9's 3 years ago. I have seen the interior many times while at a hangout together or at the track. That car had full interior and everything. He drove the car to work, to the track and on trips.

However he did have a tragedy last fall while at the track, but the new car will be running the same motor and setup but I believe David is now running a stalled auto.

Yeah I agree with you, I just thought I'd point out that it would very hard to truly DD a 900+rwhp car. Street driven is a much better way to put it. But still...badass cars

It wouldnt be that hard to do if you have the $$$$$, best way to go about it would be either with a turbo or N20 b/c you dont have to spray all the time and with a turbo you can lower the boost. And for what you consider street drivin is another thing, IMO if your talkin about records and such a street drivin car should be able to pass inspections without knowing someone who will overlook crap just my 2 cents
