Default Stroker Motor Guys: Compare the feeling of a 550(ish)rwhp to 400's!!

at what speed do the tires spin when ya punch it? at what speed do they not? how fast 0 to 60? What happens when you drive from a stop to traffic speed with a big stall? how does the car compare with a 510rwhp sprayed heads/cam car? how does it feel going to the grocery store at 10pm? compare the two!!

share some stories!

all input is appreciated!!

I run 3.90's I had with my H/C 346. They feel like 4.90's in the stroker. It's got so much more torque it's a very different drive.

When I first got my car done I had my stock sized Eagle F1 garbage tires on for a little while until I got some 315's, pretty sure I smoked them at like 60-70 mph. As far as I'm concerned, a 500 RWHP car drives NO different than a Ford Focus if you drive it casually and normal, even in the rain. My first stall converter was a 3700 and when driving casual and normally it showed ZERO difference than stock when leaving a traffic light. My mother has driven my car, my sister and girlfriends have driven my car.....no different than driving their Mini Vans and Mercedes, IF they drive like normal people. It accelerates from a stop like any other car on earth and picks up speed evenly just as gradual and slowly too. The only difference you'll see in a N/A stroker powered car is when you nail the gas pedal and ride it hard.
And now, with a tired engine, over 4 years old, I can go WOT after I get going about 50 mph, rolling into the throttle.
After about 6 months, ~500 RWHP was just boring as all hell and old.
I think alot of people who build cars like this either can't drive that well or they are nervous drivers by nature, thats why you'll get alot of people saying a 500 RWHP car is dangerous, you'll kill yourself in the rain, you're gonna wrap it around a pole, blah, blah, blah. 500 RWHP ain't didly in the power department.

if you ever do it.....

it will be like night and day. the torque is there all the time, just gobs more power to putt around in, or get you sideways at 80, whatever you want..

just another reason why im selling the truck to get another car.

I'll say congrats when I see that its in the car and running. Until then, I'll continue to **** with you, because its fun. Its just like you asking 100000000 questions that have already been answered to you specifically, so I'll continually say that.

Oh, and learn to take a little joke sometimes, I could really bust your ***** about some things, but I don't, unlike most other people on here and ls2.

That said, you'll love your setup (if you let Erik do it how he wants), my stock headed (ie, un ported) 408 made more power to the tires than some other l92 headed DFW car that was posted about recently.

was a joke...... GG is working the heads over... I hope to do more then mid 400's or low 500's.... but track times mean more. And money bets FTW! If you want progress on my motor feel free to call TRT or HKE..... I dont mind.... I need more updates and if I bug em 1000x's it will just keep em from getting **** done! BTW: my sig quote > your sig quote !!!!

Need more input from you fellas.... Is it safe to say I can compare it to running the bottle on my 346 full time without having to fill er up?

clean your pm box.

and not really on the bottle thing.... the bottle makes more torque (usually) than normally would on a 40x setup.

but somewhat similar.

Let Erik do what he wants with the car. I have Brandon's old car and it is well... ******* incredible for lack of a better term. The guys at HPE know what they're doing.

cleared a bit... send away! I made 530 or so ballpark tq.... I assume even though I made 405/400 on motor and 515/530ish on the sauce..... I figure based off todays events it will do 500/490...... or based off my previous figures 540/510...... either way it is close to where I was and the power should be there down lower?

My only concern at this point is cam selection.... everything else has been determined..... I wonder if HKE will suggest the same 24X/24X .61X/.61X 113 that he puts in all the "other" 408's????

Yes they are... but that leaves me all that more optimistic for when I DO put heads and and intake on it. Now if I could only choose which route to go...

It made 470/470 so it cant be that bad. Its pretty much right in line of what a fairly agressve 383 would do. Altho I do think that motor pick up a decent amount with a set of budget stage 1 LS6's.
