I think the damn dipstick tube hole is drilled into a different boss on the block. Took me 2 hours to find that bitch on a TBSS.

Nah...same dipstick location....it's just that there's no freakin' room in the TBSS. I never would've thought a camswap in the TBSS would be more difficult than on my GTO, but it was. And it was because my SUV didn't have enough room under the hood....sheesh

Inside same AFAIK.
Outside differences intake, pulley setup, man fan, TB.

I think the exhaust manifolds are different too. And of course, the oil pan.

Oh yeah....forgot that the injectors and rails are different too, but I guess that goes along with the intake.

yea it would be safe to say the manifolds are different and the oil pan...that dipstick hole is a pain to get to no matter what...swappin the heads on my buddies GTO it took us a 1/2 hour to get that thing back in...luckily i had mine there for a reference...lol

Thanks for the input...I was just wondering about it to know if they would respond the same to intake, heads, and cam swaps. People are getting some very impressive #'s out of LSx motors and this is my first one. Thanks everyone.

Well I know it's in a different spot than an LS1 lol. There's a shiny hole in the block on the TBSS, in the same location as the f-body LS1, but it's not drilled all the way through. I tried to get that damn dipstick tube in that hole forever before I realized the hole was closer to the front of the motor.

I could see the shiny hole from leaning over the fender, and it looked like it was supossed to go there.
