Default GM letter - catalytic converter failure

hi all. i got this letter from GM about 2 months ago and sent back a response with supporting info since i had my cats changed 4 times since I've owned the car.

If anybody else sent a response to GM, what were the results, if any?

Thanks.

certain vins on certain cars allow you to get your cats changed under the gm extended warranty.....take advantage of it...they only sent letters to those that mattered

thank you.

I had 2 of the cats changed under warranty around 50k, the second two failed at 90k and 100k, out of reg. warranty and extended warranty (tried at the dealer at the time, no go).

I guess I got one of the 'lemons' when it comes to cats.

catalytic converters.

plainly speaking, this is a $500+ job to change just one, if you do not, you'll have 'service engine' light on and will not pass inspection. Cats regulate emmissions released into air.

I think he meant "Cats, What are those" as more of..." Who the hell is running cats?"
