Default need some help!!!

alright ill try to explain this the best i can....... my car is throwing a code P0430 which is catalyst efficiency below threshold.... clear it, it comes back, this could be a lot of things and i know .... it could be the 02 sensors, exhaust leak, cracked exhaust manifold, bad cats, rich mixture, a whole slew of things ..... im loosing tourque and Horsepower, im also pretty sure im burning oil.... Im stumped and have no idea whats going on .... so if you guys might be able to help that would be great!!!!! please comment back

Probably a clogged cat. Switch the rear O2's from side to side. If the code stays, it's not the O2. If it follows the sensor, then the sensor is your problem.

what if i just delete the cats with a tuner? and would that cause me to burn oil?

Most likely the sensor causing the problem.

i was thinking y-pipe haha ... SLP makes an ORY ....i would love to not worry about cats at all ..... but longtubes are little to pricey for me right now.

Well if your planning on doing LT's in the future, your going to have to get another y-pipe anyway, so i think buying one just to replace the stock y is a waste of money. So i say for now just delete the o2s if you want, and then get some LT's and new y all at once.

Well, if you are gonna get an ory....just have one custom fabbed. It is cheaper and will fit a lot better.

yeah and i got the guy that will do it too haha ..... if it is my cats thats what ill do. but i wanna make sure its my cats because im gonna try not to spend that much money if i dont have to right now.

I doubt that it is the cats. Just have the codes deleted and see what happens. I bet it stays the same.

You say your burning oil, well that wont be too good for the O2's. Perhaps your O2's have been damaged from this.

hmmmm very good point ... than what else could it be.... i just got the code ran again and it was a P0430 which is catalyst efficiency below threshold bank 2 .
