You can buy the Edelbrock carb intake and timing module for around 650 - 700 bucks from jegs/summit, etc. The module comes with the necessary plug ins for cam sensor, etc. You won't need a computer to control the motor.

Buy the MSD box seperately from them it comes with a program for your laptop to make adjustments to timing, also has a 2 step and seperate timing retard for nitrous...The box that comes with the edelbrock package does not have a port for your laptop...It comes with different plug ins instead for stock and mild setups...I'm doing a carbed 6.0 myself right now...Good luck.

according to the instruction sheet, the #5 & 6 pills are for wilder setups. anybody running a larger cam with the edelbrock pkg, please chime in if the thread starter doesn't mind.

Yes but I think he meant with the Edelbrock controller ... I agree - it's probably a better bet to get the MSD one especially if you are going to spray it. I got mine for a good deal but I'll have to upgrade it later - at least it'll get me on the road.

Damn, that is the best thing ever than. All you have to do is buy the MSD controller and it comes with all the wiring you need. SWEET! I have another question though. I was reading that the t-5 will bolt up to the LS1 but you need some sort of extension or something because the input shaft does not reach the clutch pack. Ohh... and thanks for all the help.

not sure why you would want to go with the Ford T-5 tranny, always heard they were weak and you want to put one behind an lsx motor?! lol.

well, other than that i personally haven't heard of anyone trying to do that, but almost anything is possible. good luck with it.

stay with a ls1 t56 if u really need a manual,
dont even waste time with a t5, ive broken a few behind vortec head
motors, unless u have an all out gforce , racing trans.
dont bother with a t5, save for a t56

well........i can't really say. a member on here who made it wishes to remain annonymous for now. of course, he's free to chime in if he'd like to. personally, i told him he needed to make/sell these NOW! it was a PERFECT fit and he gave me several options for personalizing it including lazer engraving it. i went the easy route with just a stamped bowtie emblem, but it's NICE!!!
