10 bolt+ 6 speed+ mickeys= SNAP!!!
well here is what i have so far......
right now i am setting up my spare 10 bolt. But last night at about midnight i found out i left the "paddle" that goes in my posi unit up in college station. So as soon as the weather slows up a little bit i have to drive up there, pick the paddle up, and continue working on this junk.
I am done with holding my breath every time i get on my car hoping the rear will hold. I am either going to get a credit card to buy a 12 bolt or take out a loan from somewhere. Any thoughts?

Let me just say, that I get the point. It was kinda like when you were a kid and you kept pulling on your favorite toy to see how strong it was... but then it breaks.
I once broke a 10-bolt within 15 minutes of bolting on a set of ET streets. It just happens, and is the best way to prove first hand how much a 10-bolt sucks.
Ford's crappy 5.0L gets a 8 7/8" ring gear, V6 mustangs and LS1 cars get a 7.5" gear set...

You know, if Torsen would just use a stronger/hardened/treated case (including the T2R!), half of the explosions we see probably would not happen. Of course, I'm NOT talking about higher than stock power combined with anything stickier than a Nitto DR.

****, i broke my eaton posi in my strange 12 bolt last weekend with just a set of DR's.... i guess 400+ wheel horse and tire spin into 2nd and 3rd is just harsh. so even with a 12bolt, you can still break ****....
good luck, and never take out a loan to mod a car, IMO...

I'm good with that! And by the way keliente thanks for making that write up about rebuilding the 10 bolt. I finished my rebuild yesterday and it is quieter than before!
